A residual gas valve prevents unwanted substances from entering the gas cylinder. This keeps the CO₂ pure and free of contamination, even after refilling. This guarantees that our cylinders always meet the highest food standards. That is why aquarium cylinders are not used for food applications.

Because CO2-4U only works with reusable bottles and residual gas valves. This way we can still guarantee the same food quality even after more than 10 years. For that reason our bottles will become cheaper in the long run because of that longer lifespan.

Dry ice or carbon dioxide snow is the solid form of carbon dioxide or CO₂ and is mainly used for cooling. Dry ice, also called smoke ice, can also be used for smoke effects at events and parties.

Discs are the ideal shape for maintaining temperature over long periods. They also have a longer shelf life. Under normal conditions a 30kg box will lose around 4kg per day depending on what it is packed in.

The dry ice that we sell through the webshop is in granules/sticks (per kilo).

We provide thermal packaging, adapted to the ordered quantity. This will then be delivered to you by us or an external carrier.

Dry ice blasting is a technique in which surfaces are cleaned by spraying dry ice pellets at high pressure. The cleaning effect is partly due to the abrasive effect of the pellets and partly due to the thermal shock (the sudden shrinkage of the layer of dirt, causing it to come loose from the substrate). Dry ice blasting has the advantage over older techniques such as sandblasting that no residue is left behind.

No, dry ice is not dangerous in itself. We do recommend handling the ice with thermal gloves to prevent burns.
