Dry ice in blocks
Product details
Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide (CO2) with a temperature of more than 79 degrees below zero, a natural product with many possibilities and applications.
Discs are the ideal shape for maintaining the temperature over a longer periods.
They also have a longer shelf life. Under normal circumstances, a box of 30 kg loses approximately 4 kg/day depending on in which it is packaged.
In addition to using dry ice as a cooling medium, the most important application of dry ice is a technique in which surfaces are cleaned by "dry ice grains" on under high pressure to spray. The cleaning effect is based partly on the abrasive action of the grains and partly on the thermal shock (it suddenly shrink the low dirt making it let go of the surface).
The ice blasting has, compared to older techniques such as sandblasting, the advantage that no remnants are left behind.
It is recommended to handle the ice with thermal gloves to avoid burns.
